Are you a Natural Bi%ch? Do you demand products that are full of natural ingredients with active ingredients that actually work? Beauty starts from the inside: you can't have beautiful skin without drinking lots of water and eating the right things - and sometimes quite frankly its just genetics. But I also believe there are some fantastic products out there we can use to help us achieve a beautiful "inside" and "outside."
Unfortunately there are a ton of products out there claiming to be NATURAL that are far from it (lets face it, ANYONE can call their product natural as the label isn't regulated). All you have to do is read the back of a "Burt's Bee's" bottle to find a swathe of harmful chemicals. For years I have scoured high and low the shelves of the drug store, health food stores, home-based business parties to find natural products of integrity that actually work at affordable prices. And its no easy job let me tell you.
That being said at times I'm willing to compromise my integrity a little. As Jessica Alba so blithely said - and I'm paraphrasing here - "Yes, retinol has been shown to cause cancer in rats but hey it works. So I'll pick my poison" I'm not opposed to a little retinol in a whole swathe of other great natural ingredients scientifically proven to actually work. I am opposed to paying $50 for a skincream with a minute amount of retinol too little to actually work, bathed in a bunch of other chemicals I can't even pronounce the name of, accompanied by miniscule amounts of other so called "natural" ingredients. Have you walked down the Oil of Olay aisle recently? The choices are absolutely mind-boggling and none of it is scientifically proven to actually work.
So many times I find the ingredient I am looking for but in such miniscule amounts to never actually have a chance at actually having any impact.
The products I feature on my site are mostly truly natural products of quality and integrity that are affordable and ACTUALLY work. If there are any ingredients that are questionable - that I may feature because I believe they work - I tell you about them. Because I believe everyone should be informed. And I believe everyone should pay completely affordable prices for healthy products. So I try to take the guesswork out of it for you.
